CDs and DVDs are not "Real" types of removable media I hopy you guys know. Mainly because they take forever to rewrite and you can only rewrite maybe 5 times.

lol you just made a comment about speed and you endorse tape drives?

My friends and I at work have been passing the same CD-RW back and forth like a USB memory-Key and we have lost track of how many times it's been written to. The bottom of the CD-RW is brownish-black because of the carbon produced when copying it. It still works and will still work.

Then you are lucky, or your CD-ROM drive's lasers aren't calibrated properly.

or perhaps just better than yours?
Considering you know very well that every exchange of position results in corrupt data... oh exalted one.

You can only burn the bottom of a CD so many times before the data gets corrupt. There is no logic in it... It is common sense.

CD-RW media is good for thousands of rewrites, actually.  Me personally, I've rewritten discs probably 30 times and they still run just fine.

Recordable CDs are indeed removable storage.  Speed has nothing to do with the classification.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

You pop it in, it stors something, you pop it out.
Out=Removable
Store something=Storage.

Put it together and you get a cookie, ozzy... don't and you remain corrected.

I don't think he was talking to you. He was just editing his age because he found out he's taller? Or shorter? Hah.  :? (I didn't see the height you posted before this)
