My ISP hates me

So last night I come home and my internet is out. I figure it's just down so I went so sleep. This morning it was still out too.  so I call up my ISP and the lady says "we need to transfer you to virus blahblah" I couldnt understand her. so the guy gets on the phone and says "your modem has been shut off for file sharing" I about laughed my ass off.  He said that I was uploading copywritten material blahblah. And I told him that was impossible becuase I was smarter than that.  He had to give me some speech on what would happen if I was "caught" again.  So Uh if im not around for a while the RIAA came and found me and im in jail :)


on that note whats a good free firewall.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

SBC told the RIAA to cram it up their asses when they demanded information on users' actions.

yeah im just going to switch from adelphia cable to SBC dsl.  That means I have to get a house phone line again and go through all this crap. but it will be about 20 bucks cheaper a month.  and I wont go to jail.

The most that would happen is you settle for around 1k and then everything is all crystal clear.

I am hoping they come after you and press charges.  If you steal you need to be prosecuted! I don't think that they would send this letter if they didn't have evidence that you pirated something. Get a job and pay for the hard work and effort other people put in to their product. I have no sympathy for anyone that steals software, music, movies ect.
 Im sure you will blame Bush for this too!

Gotta love when something comes in the mail weeks after i move out and its my fault. Its not surprising to see this happen after you don't have someone to help you out with everything computer related.  When im not there to tell you how to do something, its my fault, when i fix it for you, you take credit for it. Three and a half years of using the internet around you and as soon as i leave this happens, and its my fault. If anything its all the music you download, i don't download music, i listen to digitally imported.

Theres no reason for you to play the 'hypocritical antagonist' here just because someone else hasnt done it for this thread already. I havent pointed any fingers at you, despite all you've done, theres no reason you should be including my name in your problems.
