Autogrouping $$$
« on: November 13, 2004 10:27 pm CST »
I will pay $0 usd to whoever can supply me with the code that will allow my bot to group a person when they say "group me".  I have exhausted all other measures and now will try buying it.  The $0 will be paid via us mail after the code or gui is delivered to me via email.  All rights to the code will become mine when transaction is complete.  If you have trust issues that I will not pay you, then dont bother answering to this post.

rights to the code become yours?  well fork that then.  thats like saying, "Here, you do the work and I'll tack the names on to it."  Or should we call it the republicans way of life?

Ok, I'll just license the code for $0.  Not take ownership of it.  Halp!

eViL, that's how most programmers work.  They get paid for coding, but they don't own any of it.

Anyway, do you just mean grouplist?  If so, that would be extremely easy.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

you want help sinister.  why don't you play god for a while then?  maybe you can drag your ass across some nice dry concrete and learn to do things on your own like the rest of the scripting and coding community.  oh wait, learning isn't your strong suit is it?

don't rip on me just because you can't think for yourself.

when you get stuck on an issue try pushing your way through it and learning before you ask other people to give you what you want.  and malarkey, even when you fail, you look at what you did, and try again until you are completely out of options.  you are bound to get it right sooner or later, even if it is you.

Whatever.  All i ever do is try to help people.  I rarely ask for anything in return for it.  I just wish more people would be like me.  It's cool though, I shouldn't expect anything.

Also, I'm sure there have been times in your development as a coder that you were stuck and someone helped you....you should think about that sometime.

And on a 3rd note, when i originally posted this message, you were quick to reply to it and tell me that you had something that would work, but wouldn't help.  If you're not going to help someone, then dont post and say that you have what they need.

And no, I have never been helped by someone else when it comes to coding.  Everything I know I learned on my own by striving to suceed.  I have never asked someone else how to do this or that, I looked it up and started experimenting.

And on another note, why would I help someone trying "to go above and beyond", if you are that damn good, you can do it on your own.
