Read the full battlegrounds preview (parts 1 and 2) and you will get a pretty good idea. It is basicly 40 horde vs 40 alliance.

This is only for the 1st battlegrounds though. From what I understand they are going to do things differently for each one.


And as eViL said, PvP is a lot of fun. You gank, you get ganked, then you get your guild together and raid their towns. It is a lot of fun. You can avoid battle with mobs if you are smart. If someone of the opposite faction wants to fight you, you are either going to fight them, or not quest in that area for a while.

Besides, on my server there isn't much corpse camping. You just die, and they run away.

It isn't like you lose anything from dying in PvP anyway unless a mob gets the last hit.


Yeah, he's right..  besides, there are multiple areas to hunt/quest no matter what level you are.  The worlds are pretty big..

I read about the battlegrounds thing too.  They are also doing something new with orcs, but I can't remember..  I do know that they plan on releasing 6 tiers of boss-like monsters, and the strongest ones are currently the 1st and 2nd tier.  The battlegrounds thing reminds me of DAoC that has all the different posts to control..  it's going to make WoW twice as good as it already is!

Ah damnit.. I wanted to be on the same side as you ;\

Maybe I'll start over with Stones tomorrow night on Alliance. But I don't think so.. I can't stand Alliance, Horde is so much cooler ;p Plus I would be able to LVL faster as Horde since I've done it already to 41. Horde it is then! The name is Vivax, so if you see me spare me :P

Yeah, I actually do that quite a bit.. Then the low levels yell and complain at the undercity... Then a few 40-50s come to hunt me not realizing what they are dealing with.

It is also fun for the occasional low level newbie to swing at you. I /sleep while they try to hit me and then I get bored /laugh and kill them. Then of course I have to /cry and /apologize because they were to little to play tag.

I actually do spare some horde. If I see someone questing, I might give them mercy if they seem innocent or are not on my kill-on-site list.

By the way, all shamans are on that list (It is actually a guild thing). Rogues are also on that list, but I give them the benefit of seeing me first--unless they are above 55.

I honestly don't have enough time to play that game.... weekends aren't enough.

Really eViL? You must be very skillzful. Professional my ass, by the way Ozzy.. At the moment I don't believe raiding more then 40+ is stable(or even less, depends how much you are talking, I made a random estimate). A few weeks back we set up a raid agaisnt Stormwind, and we had nearly 100+ Horde, word got around the alliance, so they were waiting at GoldShire just south-east of Stormwind. We ended up crashing the server for 20 minutes. The leaders and our "marshalls" were famous for a couple days.  :P

Actually we raided the undercity not too long ago with 2 raid parties. One of them was a full 40-man party and the 2nd had about half.

It didn't lag untill the Banshee Queen started casting. It also only lagged then because 60 people died in a matter of 2 seconds in one room.

It was really a pointless raid.. So we took about 30 people and raided Taren Mill.
