Ok, what's the deal with this? I guess HUBBA is now jailing people for swearing, whether it be at admins or not.

What's wrong with it? We aren't 10 years old, and I'm pretty sure there are no 10 year olds on the server. And even if there is, badwords.cs is on by default.

For all the time I've been on this server the admins have never had a problem with swearing unless it is at an admin, until now. The argument against swearing is pretty weak (it's mainly Myst and HUBBA), saying that there are kids as young as 7 (obviously not true) playing on the server.

I'll say it again, badwords.cs automatically censors words in the game, so unless you've deleted that you shouldn't have a problem with it. And if you did delete it, you have no room to complain, since you purposely allow yourself to see the words.

I can see where it could get out of hand, and a jailing is fit, but what's wrong with swearing every once in a while? Noting, and people shouldn't be punished for it.

So what are your thoughts on this Particle, do you care or not?

As an Admin, I don't enforce every swear, I dont even enforce periodic swearing. However I do enforce it when its directed to someone in the server or if racial and sexual slurs are said no matter if it directed toward anyone in the server or not.

Haha. Whining? Try actually reading the post, and then look at the 2 people who have agreed with me so far. And read GE's post, too.

I'm with Jonah on this.  It's kinda extreame to jail people for swearing.  I belive HUBBA would jail you even if you and her were the only ones in the server.

each admin has there own level of stuff they will tolerate. if hubba doesnt like swearing then she will enforce it like she is now. and im sure particle trust her with this so get over it.

This is how I feel about it and my opinion on the subject.
I have had the anti-curse script on the last couple of days to test. I usually don't push the issues of cursing until the server starts getting out of hand. I get tired of every other message that comes across globally is F--k this!,  You Pu--y!, or You fa--ot. I am not the only one who feels this way. I have recieved several complaints, from several people on the server about the language. I usually warn everyone before I put the script on, and the script itsself gives you a warning before it jails and fines you according to the severity of the word. As I recall 7 had a simular script that gave no warning. So, I don't think I am the only admin or Peacekeeper in the past that feels this way. If you would like I could show you his script, because he gave it to me. It would be nice to have respect for others globally and curse in #zone or #say. I don't care if you curse in #zone or in #say. I have said that several times.

I'm sorry I don't recall saying that their are kids under the age of seven on the server.  The youngest I have seen is 10 years old.

Uhh jailing people for swearing? I've never seen anyone do that besides Aphex. And Aphex only kicks/jails if you say "fag/faggot" or anything racist. I think. >_<

Usually when I jail people for swearing it is because they are disrupting the server. I don't do it to be mean, or power trip. I usually warn them. I am not that kind of person. Usually when I jail people it is beacuse I have asked them to stop swearing, I take time out and talk to them.  I have only kicked maybe two people out of the server. They were way out of line and causing a big problem with everyone in the server.
