Coin Dupers.

It's obvious there is a Coin Duping problem on the server, and it's obvious who's behind it. But what i can't understand is why aren't the Admins doing anything? It became obvious when 8ball (Shorty) Had over 90 Million coins stashed in his Storage that he had Duped. HUBBA took away all those coins and gave him -Millions of coins. I have access to that character, and i looked at his Coins, and he has 2 Million coins. If that's not a duper, i'll be damned what is.

Another occurance was, I sold my old RL1 character -CauTioN- to Shorty for 2 Billion coins. At this stage i was completely un aware the coins were duped, and i had no knowledge of Shorty being known for what he is known for. When i had been told the coins were Duped i gave the coins to Taurik, so he could deal with them. Again the admins did nothing major to the Duper.

It is quite disturbing to realise there are many Billions of coins out there. Peach gave out 7 Trillion coins earlier this week, i am going by my resources, now he didn't give them to one person, he gave them to many. So, either the admins start searching for all the chars who have 100's of Millions of coins, or it'll end up like it always was.
People will be dusting from Level 60-101, every time. So Particle i strongly suggest you look through the character files and find out who has all the coins, and do something about it, before the server turns into a Dusters heaven. I am not saying the admins aren't doing a goodjob, i am saying they are going to easy on the Dupers. Clear the unsavory womanes, before they do more damage (Not that they can do much more).

Good job, idiot. You gave them to someone who has admitted to duping. Taurik was the first one to dupe after the clear.

We're doing what we can, but it'll take time to make good progress in preventing this problem.  Besides, we're having trouble with the latest PCRPG code.  There are quite a few issues to work out.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

hmm do you see ghettobot going on mass pking? dont think so. hes a bot that helps peep at den. hmm interesting. does taurik an ass to everyone on server and not help anyone? hmm dont think so.  taurik goes out of his way to help people all the time. did taurik stop after he got 2 remorts? hmm yea.

who got a char blackscreened, one taken away by ge, and other by a friend cus it was also almost cleared. hmm

I was talking about Taurik, not Ghettobot. But I guess you're saying that he duped on two chars, then?

But he goes out of his way to make sure that information on duping is available to everybody. Taurik has made it so anybody who wants to dupe or crash the server now can. What a great guy. He also went out of his way to break rules more serious than PKing. Hmm yeah.

I just blackscreened another one of shorty's chars for him admiting he was duping.. The problem is being taken care of.

Ghettobot was made to help others on a 24/7 basis. Taurik is aware if that char was used for anythign else it would be cleared, besides myself (and im sure hubba) would of gave him the lvls anyway.

What about the char Taurik that was obviously LVLed up with illegitimate dust he got from duping?

Frantic, that was back in October. The method I was giving people to dupe coins leaves a telltale "so-and-so connected to the game. so-and-so dropped." flood... I have only seen that type of crash once after I gave out the script. The people crashing the server recently are using OTHER CRASH METHODS, so quit trying to blame me for the coin problem.

As for Taurik being cleared, I'm open to whatever actions the powers that be see fit to impose on it. About the only thing I use that character for is helping people, but the ends may not justify the means, as Frantic is so fond of pointing out.
