I got to fire an M-16 from the top of a Jeep..  it was definately an adrenaline rush!  I can't imagine firing some of those large calibre guns like the MK-19..

if im right, the MK-19 is a full auto, belt fed grenade launcher isnt it?  40mm HEDP to the foot, ouch

@villman, WARNING this link leads directly to the page which has thumbnails of the pictures, thus showing you the aftermath of a battle right when you click (or whatever else happened, etc)

I agree... disturbing, but it's life and I would rather see what is going on than not.

My excitement of my previous post is the hunger for visual knowlege, not destruction.  In my ideals, noone would have to be shot in the head, etc.

A video would still strike my interest.

PM me a link if you want to give me a link to the video... the direct links don't show for me.

Despite the horrible nature of war, I still want to see it to know what my friends or soldiers went through.  If not for sheer knowlege then at least for some sort of marginal empathy (as the hands-on experience could only illustrate such a thing.)

I did 20 years in the Army...  I've seen alot worse than those pics....
It sucks we have to have soldiers over there but we need to do it to keep it in their backyard...  not ours.

USsoldier..

You are absolutely right when you said we don't know how good we have it here in the US.....  Most people have no idea whats out there.

My prayers and good wishes go with you dude...  I've been there and done the same as you are doing.
It'll all end and then you can get on with life. Hang in there!

"Thanks for serving"    The American public is behind you guys almost 100%!!

You have my full support as a civilian and if you EVER need anything.....just ask.

Post your APO/FPO and I'll send a C.A.R.E. package to ya!!
Let me know what you need/want. I'll do my best.

Again Thanks!

The 3rd one down is a sweet picture, with the sunset in the background (or sunrise.. I can't really tell).
