Movies you like.
« on: April 6, 2005 02:25 pm CDT »
Im looking to expand my DVD collection. I found that if you buy used DVDs you can save tons of money. Especially on the older ones. since most of my collection was taken when someone moved out of my house this is all I have right now

Vanilla Sky
Battle Royale
Closer
Garden State
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind
Lord of the Rings 1
Harry Potter 1-3. love
White Oleandar
Super Troopers
Nightmare On Elm Street 4
Amelie
The Salton Sea
Jeepers creepers
Shallow Hal
Alice in Wonderland
Fahrenheit 911
Elephant
Napoleon Dynamite

and I think that's it....

So post your favorite movies...it could be anything. even anime.

Best places to get DVDs cheap is movie stores (not blockbuster..they sell them at normal prices). I can go down to Family Video and pick up new releases for $10.

White Castle
Van Wilder
Back to the Future (only $20 for all three, at walmart)
MIB
Anything by M. Knight Shyamalan (or whatever his name is) Unbreakable, Sixth Sense, the village, ect
Anything with Will Ferral

And more more more!!

The two Weekend at Bernie's movies are the funniest movies known to man, with the possible exception of Napoleon Dynamite. As far as action goes, Ong Bak was a kickass movie, but it's not out on DVD here yet.

Banned.

Atleast the fat kid has taste, 28 days was pretty good. Same with anything done by S.K or based on his books. ^_^ Even if they were crap movies, they're still good. :P

I've never seen more than like 20 min of the monty python movie.

I still havn't seen Ong-Bak, I used to take muay thai so I gotta see it.  >_<

28 Days Later kind of degenerates into a ridiculous plot near the end, but it makes up for that by kicking ass during the first half of the movie

Agreed, I also prefer my zombies slow.

I still think they should make a movie based on the first Resident Evil game, the opening scene of that game is so bad ass. The mansion itself is way more spooky than some chick with super powers, or who forgot who she was, and is dragged to some underground complex. >_<

I'm adding Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to my list.

Harry Potter 1-5 and soon 6.
Orson Scott Card  - Ender's Game and the rest of the Ender Quadrilogy. Follow Ender's Game up with Ender's Shadow and the rest of the Bean Trilogy.
Dune
The Dark Tower Series by Steven King
LOTR - all three plus the Hobbit. Then after you get addicted to reading them (like me, 14 times and counting) you can read the Silmarillion
The Count of Monte Cristo
Les Miserables
Calvin and Hobbes
Alice in Wonderland is fun to read
So are the Pooh books.
