LOTR The Hobbit sucked in comparison.
Warlord Chronicles (A few other Bernard Cornwall's works, whos names I can't remember.)
Harry Potter
IT
The Stand
The Myst
The Dark Tower series
Battle Royale (It's also a book I think, just havn't read it yet. :P)

Some book about this insane psychiatrist, who uses drugs and hypnosis to control people, some as assassins, some for kinky stuff. It was pretty cool. Just can't remember the name or writer. >_< I'de have to look for it.

Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince! July 6th.

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... 85-8737429
The names of three of the chapters...

http://www.scholastic.com/harrypotter/f ... /index.htm
A countdown clock!! (only for the true Harry Potter fanatic)

I hope this book continues what the previous ones have done, namely, being longer than the previous one. Only one more to go after this!

oh yeah the movie is sure to rock. when I saw the 3rd movie I was a bit let down. Same with the 2nd they left out so much. But im sure the only people that would want to watch the movie based completly off the book are true harry potter nerds.....

which would be me....

What kind of joke is that?  Fightclub is the worst book by Chuck Palahniuk and it's still damn good.  Start off with Choke or Lullaby.  Sheesh, you people have to see movies before you read good books.  Hearts In Atlantis, the Green Mile etc.

I didnt think fightclub was his worst book. but not his best. I think Diary is his best. Then invisable monster. I love all his books and own all of them. his short stories are awesome.  He's my favorite author next to hunter s thompson.

Has anyone here seen the movie "Waking Life"?

If you haven't, and you go to a video store in the near future, you should get it.  It's extremely philisophical so if you don't feel like really paying attention and understanding the movie, don't bother.

Also:

The Last Samurai
Fight Club
Snatch
Donnie Darko
Fear and Loathing (rip HST)
LoTR Series

Also, i'm not gay, but I liked The Notebook alot..  it was just a good movie.

I thought Sin City was a pretty good movie too.

dammit ive been trying to find waking life forever now. i owned a copy but i lost it. I love love love that movie. I find it really awesome because for one it was filmed with a regular 8mm camera. no fancy cameras. And then all done in programs like illustrator to get the vector affect. Plus it was filmed in Austin texas and ive seen that boat car!

and I loved the last samurai.

Bah!

How could I forget the Last Samurai? I went with a bunch of asian kids, so naturally I had to rub it in, that the only person who survived in an entire army was a white dude. buahaha

Has anyone seen House of Flying Daggers? I believe it came out today and I'm thinking about purchasing it.
