It's such a sad sad thing. I'm wondering how come God didn't just intervene himself, back in those days he did alot of the work himself but he didn't set in to save his son? Seems kind of odd to me. Any of you care to break that down to me. I'm sure there is a reason I don't know of.

God turned his back when his son died on the cross to represent him dying for all of our sins.

He didn't turn his back.  Jesus didn't ask for help--he knew what he had to do and he did it.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

But on the cross, Jesus asked "Why have you forsaken me?" in essence representing that god had turned his back--at least that's what I get from that passage, and that's what I was taught.

Well here is my 2 cents. I dont really believe everything in the bible, I dont know what i believe in anymore.Way i see it ANY one could have wrote the bible and say "yup it was god he told me to"  Do you know how many people hear voices? couldhave been some crazy people making up stories....or the work of a king who was losing control of his kingdom and made this up to regain control of his people.

IDK, im confused.....IM not an athiest but, i dont follow anyone elses religion its more like i do me, and i believe in my god....

Another reason i dont believe in the bible is because, all this stuff happeneing in egypt but there isnt ONE black person in the bible (from what i read) If the bible setting took place in africa, how did the english know it before the african's?

Regardless of whether or not you believe in the bible and what it has to offer, if you use it as a tool for living your life it can do nothing but benefit you.

I myself don't believe in everything that the church says--think about it, there are soo many denominations!  There is no way that just ONE can be the right one, and the rest are crap.  I think that if you believe that a god exists, and you acknowledge that, it is the same as "being a christian" as they say.. no one will ever figure it out.

I grew up in the church--I just don't think they have hit the nail on the head yet.  I don't think they are qualified to tell me what I should believe;  that is something that every individual must figure out for him/herself.

If christianity is true, and god is a kind and loving being, then why is there any suffering at all?  According to christianity, god is all knowing and transcendant among all planes of existance, so why would he even create us if he knew it would cause so much pain and suffering?  We don't even have a purpose--yet a christian would say that chatacism we are here to glorify god (paraphrased).  If god was so powerful, he could think of a better way to glorify himself than to create a people, have so many suffer, and only have a few glrify him.  I just think many parts of christianity are hypocritical and don't make any sense.

hmmmmm i took it in grade 10

reading the bible isn't going to make u a better person... end of story... if your going to be a beliver of a major world religon why not belive in a religon that hasnt caused any wars? like.. buddhists or wiccans(i doubt if u can count this as a major religon but whatever)... or hindus

the Christians ripped off the Jews(but added the stuff about jebus of course)... and the muslims koran is basically the same thing as the "bible"... although they tend to worship "prophets"

dark... don't even get me started on race....

The gospels were written by different people, who had different views on Jesus's life.  Some stressed Jesus' divinity (ie: woman with hemmorage- Jesus knew who had touched him, and his power was not sapped from him) while others stressed the humanity of jesus (ie:  Jesus crying out:  Father, why have you forsaken me).

There is no true evidence of what really happened, but the gospels that stress Jesus' humanity certainly seem to be more reliable (and historically accurate as well).

Err, no malarkey sherlock.  Christianity in its infancy was a Jewish sect.
