New System of a Down Album
« on: May 13, 2005 11:20 am CDT »
I used to like system of a down..  not a lot, but I still liked them.  After I heard this album, I gained a new respect for them..  very very good album.     I can't wait for the release of the second half.

Speaking of SOAD... I hate the forking moronic SOAD fans.  (note, that does not include all soad fans... yet?)

I look for a few SOD (stormtroopers of death) songs on limewire at a friends house.  In specific:  free dirty needles, speak english or die, kill the assholes, bigger than the devil.

I find 14 people (the most number of mathes of the same file) for each file, all of them have named the songs in this fassion:
"System of a Down - free dirty needles.mp3"

People need to be less obsessed with their malarkey and figure out what the fork they're saying before they decide SOD meands SOAD.

As well this reminds me of the people who think that the "legend of zelda" theme song in rocking format was done by SOAD, despite documents by the band claiming it as not theirs as well as the band who made it "The Rabbit Joint" also listing it as a song they performed, as well as seeing it on the mp3 site where the orriginal free mp3 came from which was for "the rabbitt joint."  My only clue as to why anyone think's it could possibly be SOAD is that the singers sounds a small fraction the same as the one for TRJ.

Anyway... I guess you could say I am riled up... I am tired of SOAD fans invading my mind and my space.  (not saying this thread is doing that. however.)

I know what you mean..  I like them, but they aren't the ONLY thing on my playlist, and the songs don't "change my life" as Iv'e heard before.  I saw a lot of SOAD crazed people back in highschool, but I don't see too many anymore.

Is such ignorance really neccesary?  I hope you don't judge more important things like you judge music.. usually your judgement would come after you experienced what you were judging, but I guess that might just be me.

Nah, I just had this guy who sat at my lunch table with his headphones on blasting SOAD into his ears every day.  You get tired of it after awhile.

Darwin, I would agree with you, but there are some good things to come out of bands after their orriginals are drown your mind.  I'm not a SOAD fan though, so I might not like it at all.
