Bonnaroo Trip
« on: June 22, 2005 09:57 pm CDT »
So, I went to Bonnaroo a couple weeks ago, mainly to see the Mars Volta.  While there, I had some free time, so I bought some fungi.  During my journey, I took some notes on the experience.  Hope you guys find them entertaining:

have you ever done acid? if you have then you will know how acid has a body feeling....and really intense visuals.

well mushrooms is acid without the body feeling. and instead of having a tense feeling you have a everything is right and i understand what the world is about feeling. its a very good trip and i would say do that over acid.

and this "Veterans of mushrooms, I am sure, have a much better understanding of the universe I am sure. " is a very good quote to sum up what a mushroom trip or acid trip is like...

Mushrooms dont affect any part of the body, so you look like yourself while taking them.  Everything you feel is all how your state of mind is.  You can make anything you want, so long as you have a good imagination.

Don't have anyone scary around you.  As you could see, my friend Jason turned into satan.  He made fun of me as I took them, and it was scary when he'd talk to me because of that (this is because he has never done anything like shrooms before).

Be with kind people who cater to your every need.  Good music, like Infected Mushroom, really enhances the experience.

yeah havning good people around you are a must. its best to do them with people who are on them and have at least one person who is sober. to drive you around and take care of you.

it is all about your state of mind. you feel like yourself yeah but you do have insane visuals. but it also depends on how much you take. ive had times where i had zero visuals, just a calm feeling and other times where the world was completly different. that all depends on the dose.

for some people mushrooms can be a let down becuase they expect magical things to happen when they go into it. but often times end up taking too little or too much. you cant be scared to take them...you have to just let the trip happen. and you'll learn more things than you ever have before....

oh and it also helps if you stay in one type of environment. drastic change in your suroundings can be a big shock and could send you into a bad trip.

Let me give an example how it is all in your head.

When it first began happening, I realized i could manifest images in my head into the real world.  Looking at my car ceiling, I manifested a small flower out of the cloth.  I knew it wasnt real, but I could pretend it was real.  I took it in my hand.  Realizing that these kinds of things were possible, I found that thinking bad things could turn it into a bad trip.  I concentrated on my imaginary flower, and turned it evil.  I quickly threw it away and promptly forgot about it.

Another example was my friend, Jason.  He is the nicest guy I know, but his appearance was scary, especially because he had recently grown a goatee by not shaving that weekend.  I grabbed a package of ramen noodles and asked him to hold it in front of his mouth so that he would not appear as frightening.

yeah i know how it is. ive done hallucinogens many times (not anymore though) and the trip is different for everyone. you can only generalize it on a broad scale.

that's a pretty closed minded and one sided thing to say.

They're doing drugs. What else is there to know? It's bad for them and they know it.

im sure you do stuff that's bad for you every single day. like drink soda, or eat fatty foods, or walk out side of a cross walk or drive over the speed limit...

everyone is different everyone makes different choices. that's what makes us human and that's what makes life life.....to each his own. if everyone realized that then the world would be a better place.

The difference is, one type of damage is permanent, the other type you can work off. Brain cells dont regenerate. I'm done talking.
