I have the Ipod mini 4gb. Its perfectly fine, nothing special. It gets the job done with extra features. If u do get it, i highly suggest buying an ITrip with it, it makes the car rides easier. It's a good investment. Also, if available, purchase the replacement plan that comes with it. It'll save yur butt one day

I can barely move while listening to it or it starts skipping. Its highly annoying. I think I should throw out so money and get myself an Ipod as well.

Whatever you do, if you buy an fm transmitter, dont get one of those Itrip alternatives.  That was one of those $40 lesson-learned sort of deals.  They suck 2 AAA batteries in two days!  Thats alot of money spent on batteries!

i think its pointless to have a huge 2 gig or whatever they come in. i bought myself a nice fy200 with 512 mb capacity. it can be used as a flash drive or mp3 player and doesnt cost as much as an ipod does. it also has voice recorder and fm tuner and its super small. works on 1 AAA battery for 11 hours

They're nice, I may buy my girlfriend one, but while that may be good enough for you, I enjoy carrying 10g of music around.  That way I dont hear the same song every couple hours.

I have a 40gig..  if I went any lower I wouldn't be able to fit all my music on it =/

Also, whoever said not to buy an alternative to iTrip..  I agree.  I bought an offbrand fm transmitter and not only did the batteries last like a day, the signal was really fuzzy no matter what station I set it to use.  I bought an iTrip last week and I am totally content with it.
