Motorola T720 - I've had it for two years, and it still works great.  Quite a bit scratched up, I have dropped it out the window of my car at least three times (while not moving, thank God).  I'm shooting for a bluetooth enabled phone next.  I really like those wireless headsets.

Or if you are tired of being tied to your home phone in order to go somewhere and get something done.  We took out the landline in our house months ago.

seriously its so rude to talk on your cellphone when your around other people. especially in resturants or crowded public places and most of all when you're driving. if people knew how to use them correctly than i wouldnt mind. but everyone has got to be a jackass about it.

Anyway, I hate cellphones too, but for different reasons. I hate the idea of being accessible to anyone, anytime. Cellphones hinder your freedom. I can't have that. I wouldn't even be paid to carry a cellphone, and that's not sarcasm or hyperbole.

I'm not worried about losing my freedom from it (I can just turn it off! :D ) I carry it in case I need to call someone, and usually I do that anyways..or just text friends out of boredom, but it helps me a great deal. I also carry it if I'm in danger (Which I have yet to use my phone to make a danger call) sooo until that day comes, it just gives me something to do

around here its verizon wireless. its cheaper having cellphone plan than having a house phone with longdistance and all that junk. with the not having any freedom with it, i dont think thats true. you can turn ur phone off or just not answer it. i dont know if all of you are city people or not but i live in a small town and drive 30 miles to work or school everyday. so if something happened to me itd be nice to have. and yes people nowadays have no manners. and i especially hate when someone puts you on hold, i just hang up on them. thats a petpeeve of mine

People without manners nor safe driving habits don't need cellphones to be annoying or to drive dangerously.  Cellphones are just a tool, nothing more. You people who are railing against them probably pass by hundreds of people each day (assuming you get out of the house) who aren't talking loudly in a public place on their cellphone because it's in their pocket or their purse.  You no doubt see people in cars, too, who have their cellphones in their holder/purse/pocket and aren't talking on it as they do 65 in a school zone. Cellphones don't have personalities and don't cause specific behaviors within others.  They're just phones that don't have to be plugged in to work.
