Deleveling
« on: February 27, 2006 07:02 am CST »
So what's with everyone deleveling themselves now? Xenos went from 203 to 115, it also looks like siayer has done it too. Admins need to get their head out of their ass and do something about this. Hubba when i asked you if i could do this about 5 months ago you said you would remort me if I did this.

Also I think a change of PK/Admins are needed.. Kick all their lazy ass's out.(apart from hubba)

ROSE is a forking faggot that only looks out for himself, bash him, he fells himself. mug him and he will fell YOU!

GREYWOLF, he only comes in once a month, does a huge quest (about an RL worth) then leaves again. The forking moron didn't know what to do about someone Mimickilling another person lower level than the killer. "oooh..duhh....wait me go ask some1 wat 2 du"

-Shannara-, again, hardly ever on, when he does come on he things he runs the forking place. eg, Jailing me for mugging his anchet? (btw Particle was on my char after that time Shan, just so you know I would NEVER have givven it back to you)

NFY, he doesn't even USE PK! Only to fell himself.

Sorry about venting on the pks but goddam it's time for a change, this croud look like they just graduated from the special school for children with big foreheads!

As long as the feature is in the game, anybody is free to use it for whatever reasons they see fit.  If it wasn't supposed to be possible, there wouldn't be a bot to do it.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

Of course I fell myself. I fell anyone who gets bashed off map (and asks politely). Would you like me to ask myself to fell myself from now on? Will that make you fell better? And that 'mug him and he will fell you' thing hasn't happened since within a few weeks after I got PK, months ago. Stop trying to make it sound like I fell you daily. The last time I felled you was an accident, it happens. Other than that, I NEVER fell you.
It was intended to stop people from mugging PKs who were trying to observe players breaking rules. Mug me while I'm trying to do a job and I will fell you out of my way. This hasn't been an issue for months since I discovered how to jail myself and retain use of # commands. Stop making and twisting stuff up to get what you want. I mean seriously, do you work on a farm and bring all the crap home?

It would be illegal if...
- the LvL 1 used for de-leveling was you, double logging
- the LvL 1 was remorted, had RP, and you gained more than the daily allotment
- the LvL 1 didn't consent to being killed

It would be legal if...
- the LvL 1 was a consenting, non-house player who is not you double logging.

Does that clear things up for you Brenda? Good luck on that last one by the way; nobody will help you de-level. :P

Preventing someone from joining is not a game feature. Remember that focus.

Why dosen't the game kick you when you have the wrong password? It says to disconnect or you will be kicked in 20 seconds. It never kicks.

Same reason that the skeleton bones 'quest' doesn't work, one would imagine.

Just tested it using my name. Connect with the wrong password and it says you have 10 seconds or you get kicked. Was on for about 5 minutes and no kick.

I believe it still kicks you if you have an invalid name, but not if you're just logged on with the wrong pass

I know that to be false.  On a loopback server, TRPG will kick you for the wrong password just fine.  I'm working a system to address this though.

Only time it will kick you, is if your name has special protection.
I think a way of fixing the problem, is to have it where only one person per IP is allowed on the server at a time. I know several other people including myself who share routers will hate this fix. This has become an increasing problem. The other way of preventing people would be to temporarly ban the player who is doing it, from playing in the server for a time period.
That is just my suggestion for fixing the problem, I am not saying that I am making it a rule. Just a suggestion.

Man I'm glad you are working on a fix. Focus loves the server crashing so much. Gives him a chance to join as me.  Its strange how its lag free but as soon as I chase focus it crashes.
