Recommed me some GC games
« on: May 25, 2006 07:36 pm CDT »
My gamecube, which I actually bought for my sister two years ago, has just been sitting around, so I figure its time to nab some cheap Gamecube games.

The other day I picked up Animal Crossing for $20, and have been hooked on it.  Simple graphics and childish gameplay, but amazingly well put together to keep my coming back for more.

Anybody want to recommend some really good GC games that I can pick up for cheap?  I might grab Resident Evil 4 later on when the price drops.

Super Smash Bros. Melee (If you have friends to play it with)
Metroid and Metroid Prime
Mario Kart is fun until you beat it so many times
Super Mario Sunshine
Wario Ware Inc. (Needs friends and quick reflexes)

Bomberman is okay if you like that type of game.

I've been playing Smash Bros 90% of the time lately.

I owned Metroid Prime 2, and loved it for awhile.  But then I got stuck on some puzzle somewhere, or couldnt figure out where to go, and the music that just kept looping on and on was driving me CRAZY!  Then, my sister took the disk out and was playing with it, and ruined the disk.

Super Smash Brothers Melee soundsl like a grand idea.  Should prob pick that up and some used controllers.

One of my friends from my hometown brought his N64 to charleston, who lives with 4 other guys in a 5 bedroom place, and he has super smash brothers..  it has to be the best game iv'e know to play with other people.  Single player is pretty boring, however the multiplayer is awesome.  If the gamecube version is anything like the N64 version, you can't go wrong.

Metroid prime the original for gamecube is my all time favorite game for gamecube..  if you don't have some friends to play with, first person shooters and puzzle games are the way to go if you want playability and time consumption (which is really all the gamecube is going to be good for without an internet option).

Heh heh, something I love about the SSB:B video is that while all the other characters get a graphical update, kirby gets none, not even extra poly's.

Yes, I will be buying a wii and SSB:B will be on the list.

Chick.

Zelda games, the old ones rereleased and wind waker. Wind waker's graphics were a departure and I found them unpleasant but others like them.  Mostly anime unsavory womanes.

I absolutely hate that game. Bongo Bongo raped me for days, and I just gave up after that.

I can't even remember who Bongo Bongo is, which means it was an easy boss, which also means you must completely forking suck when it comes to games.
