http://www.fox9.com/news/investigators/ ... sp?1653685

read that.

maybe if.... the high school or grade school he is at blocked porn on their network..... maybe that would work... no. Obviously not. What was I thinking. PSPs are for leet haxors. hackin all sorts of malarkey.

maybe if people used wireless securiry (AKA WEP and WPA for you dumbasses) they couldnt "magically" download sweet sweet child porn off your network because you are a forktard.
And apparently how wireless works is beyond their knowledge of Wizards and Sorcerers.
Damn!

Go eat malarkey and die.  That pisses me off. A felony for porn?

Really?  The stupidest thing I read today was:

Quote
vorterx183 (03:13 AM) :
know a good version of linux i can download???

Particle (05:01 PM) :
http://releases.ubuntu.com/6.06/

Particle (05:02 PM) :
make sure to use the "server install CD"

Particle (05:02 PM) :
excuse me--the "alternate install"

vorterx183 (05:02 PM) :
lol

vorterx183 (05:02 PM) :
i had already clicked the top one, then the middle, now the alt

vorterx183 (05:04 PM) :
just download? or open?

Particle (05:05 PM) :
if you seriously have to ask, you shouldn't be trying linux

But that's beside the point.  I have a hard time taking any news article seriously when it is written with the skill of a 13 year old 1337 speaker.

Quote from: "Dipmalarkey Reporter"
He says parent's need to get hip about the technology their kids are using.

It's the story of the United States, over and over and over again:  It isn't my fault for being irresponsible.  It's whoever made this thing's fault for not telling us such an arbitrary fact.  I suspect there'll be some lobbyists in Washington soon to mandate hammers be shipped with a sticker that says "Caution:  If this device is used for removing bubblegum from an asphalt sidewalk, it may cause damage to the surface of the sidewalk."

I hate people.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

But David Walsh of the National Institute on Media and the Family, says game makers have a responsibility too.

Honestly that is just stupid.  Any parent could read the manual of the PSP and realize what it could do and if they can't understand it should be their fault.

It is just as stupid as the one case of the rober falling through a skylight and suing for not having a warning that standing on glass is dangerous.  What ever happened to common logic and parents talking to their kids about what they can and can't do

I'm pissed too, and I guess it relates in a way....

I'm glad im not a parent, because I had no idea that PSPs could do that.

These kids are like 13 years old and cracking into a school's network, and here I am an avid computer user, 19 years old, and I dont even know the password to my own network at home, much less set up anything else besids a lan for lan parties.

You're pissed at the world. I'm pissed at myself.

Heh, I used my psp for that today!  It wasnt very good tho, surfing on a psp is hard.

*edit*
This was my favorite part:
Quote
There's no doubting the popularity of loading porn onto a PSP. Its even been nicknamed the play station "pornable". The owners of this one site claim they get 90 thousand visitors a month.

Oh, and about this part:
Code: [Select]
Last month a 14-year old boy in Bismark, North Dakota got caught bringing porn into school on his PSP. The local authorities decided to make an example of the boy and charged him with a felony.

The situation hasnt changed for years.  Back in the 70's and 80's, I'm sure many 14 year old boys snuck a Hustler or Playboy magazine in his backpack to school to show to his friends.  It sure happened years ago when I was in middle school.

Wow, everyone caught what i meant by being pissed at this article. Im impressed. I like this forum much more now.
If you brought a playboy to school and got charged with a felony for that.. wouldnt that raise some eyebrows?
boobs=felony only if they are made out of plastic explosives.

But seriously... I dont want warning labels on everying. When I see them I rip them off because I'm not a douchebag and I know my chair cannot be used to saw through a tree or be used to protect myself from nuclear radiation. malarkey. The United States is RUINING Natural Selection.

If you are such a douchebag you spill coffee all over your vagina and then to your forking surprise it HURTS! Oh my god! You deserve to have your vagina off because you cant raise children! You are going to be touching the stove with them and not quite getting why it hurts.

Every judge in the world is fired by my orders. Douchebags kill people = nothing. Douchebag is so obsessed with porn he has to watch it even during class = felony.
Great. Things make sense.

Terrorists are our friends and I hope they force natural selection a few more times. All Im saying is maybe we were asking for it.

I think you are going a little far out there, Noalear.

As for him committing a felony, yeah, the kid probably did.  Bringing pornographic material, like a magazine, to school is committing at least one offense.  To look up porn at school using a gaming device, using the school's wireless network commits around 3 or more infractions against school policy.

To support the fact that the kid in fact may have committed a felony, here's an exerpt from a Murrysville, PA library's internet policy:

[code]In accordance with the principles of public librarianship and the patron's right to expect confidentiality, Murrysville Community Library does not monitor, supervise, or control the individual's access to the Internet.  Each user is responsible for his or her own use of the Internet. However, the library must inform all Internet users that it is a felony offense in the state of Pennsylvania “to display or cause to display any explicit sexual material … on any … viewing screen in such manner that the display is visible … in any establishment where minors, as part of the general public, may be exposed to view all or any part of such materials.â€

I think the kid should be punished, but not a felony. Not like he brought a gun or hurt anyone.

I agree with this.  Sure, that sort of material doesn't belong in a public school if the state/county/city/school doesn't want it there, but a felony it shouldn't be.
