Disney movies
« on: June 10, 2006 04:51 am CDT »
After watching all of my friends play Kingdom Hearts, i repeatedly had to ask them the question "What movie is this world from?"
They eventually got annoyed and were forced to ask me "Dude, havent you seen any of these movies???"

I shyly replied "..no..."

Now, according to them, the fact that I have seen almost 0 Disney movies is the reason why I do not get girls. My list of Disney movies that I have seen are: The Lion King, Tron, possibly Little Mermaid, but I dont remember the story...

The rest of the movies I only know by association. Beauty & The Beast, Cinderella, Snow White.....

So now I have to ask. Would watching a Disney movie be a good way to spend time with a girl?

Stop asking stupid questions. Anything is a good way to spend time with a girl if she enjoys it and you can manage to pretend to like it.

You don't get girls because you don't watch disney movies. You don't get them because you are ugly!

Do you not understand english negatives and how to use them? You just agreed with the original people koro was talking to. You start off supporting the notion that disney movies get girls and then insult him (which I'm all for.)  As amusing as your inability with your native fricking tongue is, you should really work on how to at least convey the proper meaning. Not asking for perfect grammar and spelling, just the basics.

Actually, Dirk, the way he expressed what he was saying is fine.  There is no other way to put what he wanted to say.  That's the problem with the English language at a strict level.  You can say "I like flying." but not "I don't like not flying."  The problem?  Those are two similar but different thoughts.  They convey slightly different messages.

Aaaaanyway, don't watch disney movies.  With a few exceptions, they suck.  There's little worse than having to watch a craptastic movie and pretend you like it.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

I disagree with Particle.  Old Disney movies are great.  Now, I may just be saying this since I have a 5 year old sister so I have had a fair share of Disney in the last couple years, but the old movies are great.

My mom said that before I could talk, I could sing, word for word, the Sleeping Beauty song "I know you I walked with you once upon a dream..."

Disney movies are one way in which people can associate.  Most Americans are familiar and/or have seen these films and can readily talk about it.  My last girlfriend and I would sometimes talk about old Disney classics on car rides.

My favorites:  Dumbo, Sleeping Beauty, Fantasia (the old one), and The Rescuers (both of them).

You're all dumb as hell. Anything Disney = crap. Mickey mouse was never funny. donald duck wasnt even trying, dont know why he was even a character. Bambi = anti-hunting. Dumbo = anti-animals in captivity.  they all have their gay little points to make and its irritating. I want to watch a movie/read a book that doesnt make a statement.

EDIT--- Watch Anchorman. Thats the best movie.

I only brought this up because Vorter and I were having this conversation at 2am.

He laughed at me for not ever watching Disney movies. Just wait until he gets back, you'll see.

I am going with Darwin, the old Disney classics are the best.  Fantasia is really great.  The newer ones that are made for what seems like only to make money money money.  They are horrible but stick to the classics.  I prefer movies made by Miyazaki movies they are always good if you can understand the plot.  Although I would recommend watching in Japanese with English subs instead of English.....but thats just me

I do like some of the newer Disney stuff.  Their Pixar-line is hilarious, it never fails, young old.  Only problem is that I don't think we will ever have a serious-themed disney movie ever, or for at least a long while.

It is due to the way children are tuned today.  Back when I was drinking jungle juice and eating animal crackers, this is who I saw every day:

My sister, on the other hand, has this to keep her occupied:

Interesting thing to note here.  During the mid 90's, it seems we had a fat-child epidemic.  TV commercials on childrens programming would try and push kids to eat fruits and vegetables, but they seemed as if they were made for the era prior to our ADHD generation.  "Lazy Town", a squirmy, crazy sort of show, is the only way that TV programming can get messages out to kids.

It really seems that everyone is beginning to lose the fight against children.  They have to push to more extreme measures in order to capture their attention.  And on that note, I leave you with this link:

He said completely the opposite of what he meant to say, a well place comma might have been all that was missing. But after seeing his chicken scratch in digital form  diction for months now, it's obvious that retarded is much more appropriate than forgetting a comma.

Should have said, 'It's not because you don't watch Disney movies that you don't get girls...'
