Or...wait till i save up enough money and buy an electric.
Then the only cost i'll have to worry about is my electricity bill!

Our economy is different when it comes to fuel.  For us, $3/gallon ($0.79/liter) is retarded expensive.  Just a few years ago, it was $1.70 ($0.45/liter).

Expensive is relative. It was $1.70 a gal a few years ago. Now its $3.00 a gallon. Why? Why did the price almost double? Is there a reason? I don't know of one. So it pisses me off that I have to pay it.

Seems like everything is cheaper in the US, come to think about it.  Buy a video card here and it might cost you $400.  But that same video card over seas and it might cost you 500 EUR ($632).

if you are looking for a efficient car. why not consider getting the smart cars that just came out. they are small they go 80mph and they cost around 25,000 and you get about  60-80m/g estimating  engine weigh about 120 pound 3 clinder turbo charge sounds nice.. if u want more info just google smartcars.. i am not going to post the website. just to avoid any possible problems which i dont there will be.

let me know what u think

oh as for the electric cars there not bad the hybrids are cool a combo of gas and electricity..  its kind of funny how the world powers have the idea to make fuel efficent cars a long time ago. since they where making alot of money on gas. they avoided it.  like other energy resources like solar, which can be efficent but they are looking for a control system, and controling the sun is a problem to them..

last but not least the car is nice like the engine.. only one thing it needs some  custom paint would make it look alot better its to plain. perhaps a green neon lights under the car would help and a different blend of colors might help for its appearance..

Best way to go, IMO, is a Diesel/Electric hybrid.  That is, though, that the batteries can be wall charged as well as regenerated during operation.  Today's diesels are super efficient and will smell better with the mandates for ultra-low sulfur diesel: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultra-low_sulfur_diesel .  They are much more silent than they once were, and they no longer smell.  I believe the latest Mercedes diesel was reportedly 30% more efficient than its petrol counterpart.

About my speil about allowing the car to be wall-charged, it is because home energy comes in at about 10cents/Kw, thus, it is much cheaper.  For daily commutes, the driver can rely solely on the battery that was charged overnight (much like the electric-only mode found on european Prius's).

The US might get a diesel/electric hybrid car soon, but having an electric-only mode will not be readily available since hybrid car's batteries are required to last 8 years.

On the topic, here's something worth seeing when it comes out
Who Killed The Electric Car?

And Particle, I'm not sure how well this theory would stand, but I think when you factor in inflation, gas prices are about where they should be.
Think about it: Bread used to be 25 cents...less...gas was also cheap. But bread prices went up. Way up. So did everything else. But gas prices remained relatively cheap. Until now, when they spike to about the level they should be at with inflation.

I could be wrong, considering gas was widely available and plentiful 75 years ago...that's not the case anymore. But either way, gas is still expensive, and it's running out.
