As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

My own box, dedicated linux (ubuntu 6.06) has a dead mobo.  Til repairs, I am using my parent's emachines system with royal theme and modified "bliss" wallpaper.  You can bet your ass I am missing my sweet XGL and terminal.

Luckily, they have a decent outfit with it.  They didnt go with the lowest of the low, a decent P4 and 512mb pc2700. Unfortunately, there is no dedicated video, nor an agp or pci-x slot.  Plus the hard drive seek seems a bit pokey... and loud.
