Unable to model: rpgmalehuman.dts
« on: June 21, 2006 02:35 pm CDT »
I thought this would get more attention then my last post.

If anyone knows how to make this error message stop popping up and not letting me play the TRPG server when I try and log on please tell me.

I tried to reinstall the TRPG and overwrite everything else it did not work.

When i go into my folder i can see the rpgmalehuman.dts right there. I have no idea why the server says it cannot read it.

In your other post you said that you downloaded the full install and then the 2 updates..  all you need is the full install.  Delete your entire RPG folder, and then install particle's provided full install..  that is all you need.

The full install includes all files from the original install AND the 2 updates you mentioned..  if you did the full install and then the 2 updates, you will have over-written the newer files with the old ones from those 2 updates.

To avoid any other problems, it would be best to completely un-install tribes and re-install it, and then do particle's full update.  If you're heavily modified (scripts, mods, etc..) then you can get away with deleting the RPG folder and any other RPG stuff from your config/base folder and re-installing the full update.

Now im going to try and download the old version then the 2 updates. I'll post results when finished.

Ok I tried downloading the base RPG mod, Particle's server wouldn't work of course. Then I downloaded the 2 patches and now I get this error..

Incorrect map file: rpgbutcher5.dtf

I think that if I find this file and download it I will be able to play on the server.

If anyone knows where I can download this file or has an answer to the.. Unable to model: rpghuman.dts then I would really appriciate getting that information.

Thanks for all the help so far.

If you install TRPG to Tribes\RPG and make sure to load Tribes with -mod RPG then it will work.  Fail to do either correctly and it will give you that error.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

Tribes Full Game download

http://http://www.sinbot.net/files.html

Top two links on that page are full game downloads.  One from Sierra.com and the other from Download.com

There are other rpg files there as well.

Those files are available here as well.  There's nothing wrong with the file and he already has Tribes.  He just isn't installing it/running TRPG correctly.  I see it far too often.  People just don't want to read anything these days.  Darn kids.

It's kinda sad--there are instructions right on the thing yet a good portion of people don't read it and do it wrong.

That is precisely why all of my installers that have anything at all to do with Tribes actively check the folder structure to verify that the stuff is going into the right folder. If they select the wrong one, it won't install. :P
