Have replaced the PC155USB with the PC150 (from Newegg).

New total is: 1989.09.

I'd go with the Thermaltake Armor case.  I think it looks a lot better than the Gigabyte 3D Aurora.  http://http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811133154

Tough call to make.

The Thermaltake has six more bays total and one more fan total.
On the other hand, it's larger and heavier.

The Gigabyte looks like it should have better airflow, and all three of its fans are 120mm.

I really don't see myself using even the number of bays the Gigabyte has, but the Thermaltake is only $5 more. I guess the issues to ponder are weight, airflow, and fans.

How do you weigh in on this, Particle? The Thermaltake looks like a better value, but the weight and air issues might counteract that. I think the matter is really more subjective than anything, so feel free to leave this to me unless there's something I need to know.

Either is fine, functionally.  It's up to pretty much whichever you think looks better since price is about the same.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

The Thermaltake Case is $119.99 after the $25 mail-in rebate.  And as for the fans, all you really need to have good airflow is good cable management, one intake fan(bottom of the front bezel (120 mm)), and an exaust fan.  I only have to two 120mm fans in my case and it keeps it super cool(my cast is super small).  Weight shouldn't be an issue unless you're 5'6" 105 pounds with like no muscle mass.

My new case was going to have a 35 pound frame.  That's an issue when there is 40 pounds of parts to go inside of it--makes it not-too-fun to move.

I switched to aluminum, bringing it down to about 13 pounds.

I helped Particle move his computer stuff once--it wasn't fun. His tower was huge and stuffed. In fact, the hard drives fit best... outside. Weight is an issue for me.

I wasn't before Sunday.  I'd decided that my razor sucked and didn't use it for three or four weeks.  I was getting rather hairy, heh.

I finished the water cooling loop tonight.  Added 3/8 tubing and a zalman waterblock.  Its even more beautiful in real life.

Also, notice the extra tubing I have.  Most would say that is usually a no-no, but I wanted to have extra long tubing so that I could have more water in the loop (since the reservoir is small).

*edit*
PS notice the tiny northbridge.   That has got to go.  I'm not going to liquid cool it, as bleeding the system is a unsavory woman (theres green coolant stains on my carpet now).  Instead, I'll opt for a nice passive copper sink.

Arggghhh!!! Newegg isn't adding the stuff to my cart! WTF is wrong?! It says the item has been added to my cart, but it doesn't register as being IN my cart. I can't even check out!

I don't know what's wrong. I did the Tools>Internet Options>Security>Custom level thing like they said, but couldn't find "cookies" under that, like they say I should for IE version 6.
