No, its Unreal.  They are displaying their Onslaught game type, which is quite different from Tribes.  Plus, no jetpacks.

I think it's the water effects combined w/ the islands that were shown in the beginning that would remind you of a souped up tribes 2. I can see where you'd make the comparison.

But otherwise, UT2k7 looks so unsavory womanin'

I've never actually played any of the Unreal's, but this one may look good enough to try out.

You're really missing out. I started with 2003, and that was only for about a day. A year or 2 later, I played UT2k4 and couldnt take my mind off of it for weeks. The gameplay is incredible, extremely fast-paced, and entertaining.

You missed a monumental period in history by missing the first Unreal when it came out.  Unreal had graphics and AI that nobody had ever seen at that point.  My PII 350 ran it just great at that time.  I got it for around $60 at that time.  I'm sure you can find it in a bargain bin now for $5.

Imagine seeing these graphics in 1998:

It looks real similar to Quake III Arena, but Unreal always seems to have the edge over the Quake series.

WAIT! I did play the first Unreal and I think even tried the second. Yes, I remember the first now that I see it. And yes, Quake and Quake II were some of the first (online) games I played online. Quake II is probably one of my favorite games of all time. Quake III Arena was decent.

Quake II has some awesome music.  I have my old QII cd in my cd clock radio to wake up to that old White Zombie stuff.

Yeah, Quake II was the malarkey. I always used to do Local LAN with my brother and dad a long time ago. I also played the Jumping Mod (pretty fun) and just anything really. Great game, I should actually play it again sometime.  :o

I really love the music from Unreal Tourney 2004. Glacier, Serenity, and Hyperblast Redux are my all time favorites.

Check your eyes.  If Quake 3 looked that bad, I'd shoot myself in the face instead of playing it today.

PS:  This is Quake territory.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

Heh, I was thinking about that after I said it, and looked closer at the picture. It looks more similar to Counterstrike (the first one). My appologies, but it has been a good year since I've played Q3
