Britney Spears wondered the same thing.  Apparently, you have to go a certain speed:

Particles gonna crash his own server. I foresee Keldrin being occupied by 1's and 0's.

The Warmaster has asked me to post an update.

As of today the Gateway to Abydos was found. Sinister discovered a teleporter in the Well that took him into the unknown. Out there on a rock with a single Guard standing duty lies the great Gateway. I can feel great power behind it. It has been opening periodically today, unleashing waves of demons upon the towns. The Warmaster has set up in Keldrin and is now accepting enlistments to aid in the fight against the forces of Abydos. He is also requesting donations of certain items to help equip our troops. Talk to him in the Alley in Keldrin to find out how you can help.

The troulbe is getting them to give it up. There is atleast 10 on the server somewhere. People are not willing to donate them. Says it is to priceless to hand over. So the quest will not go on until the keldrinite is donated.

My estimation placed the number of Keldrinite at 6-10 among active players. The quest has been updated to allow for KLS and Karmor to substitute as Keldrinite, however the amount of Keldrinite needed will increase as a result.

So if only pure Keldrinite is donated, the original amount will be used. If KLS or Karmor is donated, the amount needed will be adjusted. This is not scripted and I will handle it manually.

rose even said for himself he will give out whatever he feels like. depends on his mood. so its kinda hard to trust something when the outcome depends on his mood

and where did you come up with these estimates? 6-10 active players with kel? i dont even know 6-10 active players with keldrinite let alone active

The number of Keldrinite is between 6 and 10 among the active players. An active player is a player who plays a few days a week.

All I was saying is that it's annoying that you people are complaining about the rewards from the quest before you even know what the reward is.

It was me expressing my annoyance at people complaining about quests that take weeks to prepare and hundreds of lines of code to create.
