Stereoscopic Images II
« on: October 28, 2006 01:16 pm CDT »
Here are some more stereoscopic images.  Need help viewing them?

Try this video tutorial/example:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPRNZ6R1C3g

Still can't get it/need more help?  Try these simple instructions:
1)  Look at the center of each image.
2)  Start crossing your eyes until a new image appears dead center.
3)  You're done.  If it looks truely three dimensional, you've done it right.

You'll probably have to try a few times to get the right amount of cross-eyedness and proper distance (try 24") from your monitor for this to work.

Easy:  Dead CT

Easy-Medium:  Bridge

Hard:  Radeon 9700 (This one is really cool if you can do it!)

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

I can't get enough of the crazy music in that video.
My problem with this is bad eyesight (and bad contacts). more often than not, i only have 1 contact lens in at a time (due to the other falling out), so I only have 1 good eye....

needless to say, it makes this stuff pretty hard to do at a moderate distance.

At first no, but then I realized that my monitor wasn't directly facing me so it made it harder..  that's why my brain started to hurt--lol.  Once I positioned it correctly I did..  and the graphics card one is pretty sweet.

Blast my blurry scarred right cornea!!!!!  I can no longer enjoy the pleasures of stereoscopic 3D.  I'm ok for general depth perception, but the details get lost.

Yeah, it's my favorite.  The only reason that one is so hard is because of me.  I don't have a stereoscopic camera system, so I'm forced to do it the hard way.  Alignment of a macro shot is very difficult to get perfect with a single camera.

Once you cross your eyes to the point where a blurry image appears between the two original images, you are supposed to focus in on it.  When you do (if you can), it'll be in true 3D.
