Chemical question
« on: February 9, 2007 02:51 pm CST »
Do you think that I would get sick if my skin touched a .2M of Lead Nitrate and then touched my lips and then licked my lips?

I don't think so, you probably had micrograms on your fingers which is not enough to cause any damage.. Just watch out if you get to work with Silver nitrate  it gets in the skin and takes 1-2 weeks to completely remove it!

You can also try peeling the skin, it's very effective.

You can eat like 4 lbs. of the stuff and it won't hurt you.  Go ahead...try it.....make a pie out of it.   I like pie!

It looks like it is mildly toxic--but the lead content is all that really matters.  Don't use it for tooth paste and I think you'll be fine.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

I asked because I was feeling really sick and I thought I may have to go home and stay in bed until the small amount got out of my system.

Keep away from plutonium and I think you'll be fine.  Don't eat that stuff like salsa, either.
