I still disagree.  I think your definition fails the real meaning of the word.  What you describe would best be called differentiation or distinguishing.  Racism is specific to race differentiation with negative impact.

2  : racial prejudice or discrimination  

Definition 1 implies a negative aspect--believed superiority of one over the other.  Definition 2 implies a negative aspect--prejudice ("damage", "irrationality") or discrimination ("prejudiced or prejudicial outlook, action, or treatment <racial discrimination>").

Discrimination is the processes of discriminating, and discriminating is differentiating.

You would be right if it were JUST discrimination, but it's racial discrimination and THAT is what carries the negative meaning.  As we both know, however, the definition for racism is not "discrimination".  That's what the word "discrimination" is for.

I'm going to be honest though--I see no further merit in this discussion.

Studies have shown that the average IQ of the world is 70.  The number of people with a high IQ are an extreme, which ruin the mean of the statistics.  Just goes to show you how stupid most people are.  I say we kill them all and fix it.

has nothing to do with the % with a high IQ

Just to be a pain,

IQ is a relative concept - and perspective is everything. So to see racial discussion mixed with the inevitable IQ analysis - one would not look at the focus of the issue at hand - but at those who the debate originated from.

Bottom line - he who argues the most - must therefore have the lowest IQ, the reason?
Well that person is trying the hardest to convince the rest of us that their opinion is the most relatively important! A true person of higher IQ would not need the race card, or even care for the idiocy of the topic !

My stance? Not that it matters but racism in any form, perspective or otherwise - is wrong. Compare white to black to any other type - irrelavent - we're ALL people anyway 8)

Are you implying that I have a low IQ because I'm a debator?  Saying perspective is everything sounds very existiantialist (spell check?) so be careful.  I said we should kill all idiots, which I will always say, no matter what.  (I vote on Focus first)  It's actually "he who argues the most has something to hide."  Lie detecting 101.
