Double Logging

I'm not familiar on the double logging rules, I would want to do it to have something to do when I'm afk leveling. Don't want to sit there and watch my screen the whole time when I'm at Minos but someone informed me that this could lead me to be banned (again). So what is the real story behide it?

I read the rules but it still doesn't say anything about legit double logging, it does mention power ranking which is not the intent of my 2nd character. Merely to have something else to do while my 1st character is afk leveling.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

The double log rules that I (and the other admins) have been following for the this last clear has been one player may play on one character, but double log for short periods to transfer items/money. We've had issues in the past with double loggers using alternates to power rank, power level, dupe, etc.

I talked with Particle on the subject. We would allow people to double log
under the provisions that admins can kick double loggers at there discretion, if there are not more than 8 slots available, then the double loggers will also be asked to drop. If this is taken advantage of, or becomes a major problem then we will go back to the way it was.

If people are caught violating,  the double logging they will be banned from double logging and the next time they are caught they will either be banned for 3 day, or cleared depending on the severity of the violation.

Also, people  need to take into consideration for those not away from the keyboard.  The person at the keyboard should take priority over the person that is afk. If I am in the server and someone ask me to remove a afker from the zone so he can level.  I will do so. It will be the choice of the Pk or Admin in the server at the time though.

This will really fork up particle point contests. People will get double the entries and double the points.

Well for myself this should be ok - my character "Aaragorn" and my brother-in-law's "Attila" characters are played from separate computers through the same network router - so as long as we don't affect eachothers characters directly all is well is how I'm reading this :)

That's fine--it shouldn't be a problem.  The main concern is people who create alternate characters for the purpose of exploiting them for their main character (such as PKing it for free RP).

You guys can play together. The biggest concern, like Particle said, is Power Ranking for Rank Points. But you guys shouldn't be in houses, anyway  :P

Just to mix things up a bit:

Note, that isn't a new thing. It was the very first rule I could think of when I originally wrote the rules. Heh.
