i wish i could tear the skin off your face and make a mask out of it

then id walk around beating people with you face on so when they find your body, your parent will be ashamed that your their child (since i went around beating people with your facial skin over mine)

Same here.  fork WD.  You can quote me in your e-mail to them, I'd be happy.  When I upgraded to a REAL hard drive,  I purchased a Maxtor instead of a WD simply because I know for a straight fact WD is utter malarkey, and will probably continue even into the SATA market.

After I got my 80 gig Maxtor, I put my old* 30 gig WD hard drive, that I bought almost a year from today, into my other computer used for gaming / dedicated hosting, etc.  And what would you know, it starts "clicking" as usual of WD's...  I had noticed it before while it was in my main computer, just was hoping it wouldn't fail before I purchased a new hard drive.

Well, here I am posting from my good computer with a Maxtor.  Seems I will need to RMA that son of a unsavory woman and move on because that is the very last dollar WD will ever see from me again.

P.s.  This isn't the first...   more like FOURTH...

NEVER BUY WESTERN DIGITAL.

Gotta love SBC with their 6Mbps tier for 45$
(Yes, on their site it only shows 3Mbps, but it is actually 6Mbps, I would know :)).

My two WD1200JB's are running just fine.

At the moment I would recommend one of the following drives:
Seagate Barracuda IV or V
Western Digital WD800xx and above

The IBM drives turned to crap over a year ago.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

Xbox uses Seagate drives, and they click a little bit.
