Yes darwin I think most people realize that, I said it was an old fav that I put up so people could see the old IP address.  If the new server is actually particles, then I don't think it would be running a different version of RPG and not have any of the character files.

I don't like oversimplifying things, so I won't.  To properly explain that you would have to take a Cisco or MCSE class.  But basically, it's the server one up from his IP in connection between the host IP and the one being traced (the one being traced is the on you enter).

It is most definately NOT partyicles server. i Was just on there using a fake name and password. The code is way different from particles. the bots do not have names and there is something in it that way slows you down for a few seconds each time a bot hits you. almost as though it were to simulate a stagger from a blow.
Anyone who has been on it using their reguler name/password, I would recommend changing your password ASAP when the real particles server comes back up.

T'pols server used to do that, the can't move after hit thing. REALLY sucked when you were in water and drowning, damn thing almost got ya killed everytime lol.
