Peace Keeper Try-Outs Summer '07!

I've noticed a decline in the number of peace keepers we have active, and while the server has been running very smoothly lately, I thought it a good idea to bring in a couple new players to help make sure it keeps that way.

So, starting next Monday (June 11, 2007) the PK Try-Outs will begin.

Try-Outs will consist of two players being given access to the PK password for one full week during which time they will be expected to handle issues that arise in the server. At the end of the try-out period the server admins and PKs will conference and select the best 2 or 3 candidates.

To sign up you must be RL 45+ and a player in good standing. Players wishing to be considered for PK need to have a forum account and should have an account on any one of the popular messaging services (MSN, AIM, ICQ, IRC).

To apply, post your in-game name, contact information, and tell us why you think you'd be a good PK.

Please note that PKs should be active players and play (actual moving around, chatting in the game play, not AFK play :wink:) no less than 3 hours per week.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

well since youre still bitter at me for i dont know why, whatever happened to this change in exp system that was goinna happen? some updates on the server would be nice

I would like to be considered for the tryouts that are being held for the Peacekeeper postions.  I am a long time gamer, basically an old timer that still enjoys gaming.  I think I have something to offer to the gaming community and to this server as well.  Years of experience, tempered by many successes and mistakes, motivated by a deep love of computer gaming.  Thankyou for your consideration.  May I suggest an update to the rules pages as they have been changed in the game.  Current rulings should be either posted by the Admin making the ruling or a direct written change should be made to the website.  Thanks for the invite.

Ive asked hubba for a PK position in the past , I play a lot ,I respect the rules, I help noobs and I'm (most of the time) nice...at least I think so :p

even if its a bad time for me to tryout I'm willing to tryout ...exams or not I still play a few hours a day :p (actually i got my book next to me and I check from time to time ...)

dont rly have to say anything about me you all know me...i talk a lot in da game XD
pks and admins know me pretty well

my rl proves how much I'm truly active in this game, I would love to have an extra thing to do on the server except remorting...

it kills me at times when I cant help a noob cuz I dont have the extra PK options...
I try helping my way anyways

id try out but im only rl 11. but arf and bored are good in game. so im sure they will do well with the tryouts.

What the hell.  I'll give it a shot.  I'm not on all the time, but I'm around.

I'm not even sure if I want the responsibility.  But I feel like I won't be a jerk with the responsibility.  Lead by example right?

I believe I'd make an excelent PK. I help newbies/beginners all the time! I always explain how they can use tokath to find out whats after what. I never overkill, mimic kill, or over steal. I do play a lot! A lot of the time it could seem like I'm afk, but I'm usually talking in #group.
