I always like to play in the dark, but there are some reasons not to.

Playing in the dark, if I could see myself from a 3rd person, makes me look like a freak.  I always harp on my friend who likes to play in the dark about doing this, since it seems so depressing.

Another reason is that its kinda hard to see the keyboard (finding the # key was a little hard for me in the dark as a n00b).

... I like to play in the dark.  It makes things and players a lot more visible, but after an hour or two it starts to really hurt your eyes and give you a migraine :\

During sunny days, the glare from windows makes things hard to see, and it magnifys the smudges on my screen..

I never got a migrane from staring at my screen.  I always choose soft colors as my desktop wallpaper (for those times when I sneak on at 3 am).  I used to have that wallpaper from XP that was the beach/ocean pic.  Everytime I turned on my monitor, my eyes would fry.  Oh, and if its giving you a headache, make sure your monitor's refresh rate is around 75hz, or else you'll be going to the tylonol everytime you gotta write a paper.

Yeah man, you will get a pasty face.  I normally am still tan around this time of year, but playing TRPG this summer made me get less sun-time, so now I'm not as tan as I normally am.

Omg same here!
But now since i hardly play in the morning or light now i took the books down that I had there. And i play in both light or dark depending when I get on.. And if its dark just turn on a light.. Then it will be addressed as Light..

Yeah, tribes rpg ruined my normally half dark complexion... turned me into more white... I usually tan easy though :P (talking about tanning, sounds funny)... and umping little league sort of helped me keep some of it

Do not ASSUME, it makes an '@ss' out of 'u' and 'me'
This game is a complete waste of time.  That is why I play

I have an absolutely horrible place to use my PC.  It sits in front of a large window that looks out onto my backyard.  Even though the screen is facing away from the window, the sunlight lights all my surroundings, which reflects on my screen.  I wish I had a flat screen CRT, but the only thing is I always have trouble playing games on them.  I dont know, im just used to the semi-round screens.  *shrug*

Its easyer to see at night, and less distractions.
