Bush doesn't compare to Hitler? How about the fact that Bush has stated (on at least three occasions) that he would prefer to be a dictator. (It would make his life easier, he said.) "There should be limits to freedom," Bush said. I am going to "save the World from freedom."
Want another? Hitler's Enabling Act. Sound familiar to Bush telling Congress that he doesn't need their approval to declare war or to ignore treaties? It does to me.
How about Hitler's "Ordinances for the Protection of the German State and Nation"? Compares rather nicely to Bush violating civil liberties by imprisoning Americans and calling them "enemies of the state". They also have no right to legal counsel or representation.
I could go on. Want me to? I've yet to hear a real solid reason outlining why we should attack Iraq. All that's been said is, basically, that Saddam is a tyrant and he has to be stopped. Really!? I'm not disputing that. It's already been said someone who posted before me (who was FOR the war) that there is really no fear of retaliation. What I am disputing is the need for the slaughter of innocent Iraqi, just to quell our own imagined fears.
