Mixed Restrictions
« on: March 29, 2003 11:19 pm CST »
This goes mostly for casting but... u could make it with weapons 2 and malarkey...

Making it so that u dont only need one type of casting, but 2 or 2 different skill restrictions...

Dont have many ideas @ the moment of what the items or skills could be but hey I am sure we could figure something out...

Anywayz just a lil start of an idea...

$SkillRestriction[skill] = $SkillA @ " 15 " @ $SkillB @ " 25";

They already have things like that...cept it's more like skill and remort or level, but you could do it like that (although i haven't tested it).

I'm thinkin' of doin' something like that if we can add in $SkillLore as skill 19 (the one after endruance that says no longer used). It'd be a bard thing, as they have no primary skills fitting to their class. You could then have bardic magic that would rely on Ncast and lore...something like

$SkillRestriction[enchantitem] = $SkillNeutralCasting @ " 200 " @ $SkillLore @ " 800";

I actually like the idea of mixed restrictions. this would force players to spend sp and train in multiple skills which would slow down their leveling. this would slow down the power players.
it would also more realistically portray the realism (yes, i know its just a game and nothing here is totally real  :)
