Ken, when Jesus comes back, those who believe are going to heaven. We aren't gonna sit here and watch what happens, we leave our earthly bodies and go to heaven. Those who don't believe will stay here on earth and live with Satan in control of the world. Women wern't looked upon as equals for a long time. Do to their lesser physical ability, they were generally looked down upon by males.
The reason they kill each otehr is because factions of the religon think that they should force everyone to join their religon, because they are reading a different book than the rest of the religon. Muslims are forbade of killing 'someone of the book' which means any Jew, Christian, or another Muslim. But, some people think that they are on a jihad, so therefor must kill as many innocent people as possible to get their point across.
So, what you say is, that if we got rid of religon, there would be less violence in the world? I hold back my own anger I feel towards people simply because of the morals that I have obtained from my religon. If I hadn't learned, I would get pissed much easier at people, and I wouldn't hold myself back.
Ken, before this 'fading of religon' was there drugs? Nope. We didn't have people making a market off of the insecurities that people felt, either.
To each his own. You may not like religon, and that is your choice. I think religon is good. People who take it to extremes though, are the reason that people like you look down upon it.
