This post may contain spoilers to the original 2 Fallout games.

Critical thoughts on part one:
Slow moving.
Counter intuitive vault door.
Annoying cash sound for exp gains.
"finish quest / level up" sound sounds like it belongs in a old-world rpg with knights and crap.
Floating thingy.. Enclave Radio??  President??  (Both the Enclave and President were the last remnants of the US government who had been living in an offshore platform on the west side of the US... killed by the player at the end of fallout 2)
Perks every level seems to take away the reward of only getting one every three levels.
Shooting a NUKED car catches it on fire.... then it explodes... wtf?
Making up their own version of side story for vaults....
...Megaton looks like malarkey and the robot out front pisses me off.... but this kind of reminds me of junktown from f1... with the closed door on the front and all.

Part two:
Wait... if I breath wrong that "sheriff" is going to... fork a ninja?!  Talk about malarkeyty dialogue/voice acting...
Uh... his dialogue also seems kind of quick and pointless.
boy... boy boy boy... *sigh*
Also... the old man sounds like he belongs in a cheesy dark ages rpg of some kind... more of the re-installment of their version of the storyline.
Annoying/cliche radio scene... poorly edited...
WAIT... CAPS?!? Caps were the money in the first game... but by the second they had moved on to something else.
Oh... mr. dark evil guy wants to blow malarkey up... speaking of malarkey... lots of random swearing.
Also... the dark guy implies the need (with his craptacular accent) to install the device inside the bomb...
...but then we clearly see that it is not installed from inside.
As well... more bomb praising nutballs... was this from a previous other game in the series?? maaaayyyy-beeeeeee (*sigh*)

Part Three:
Oh... right... getting shot blurs vision.. nonsense.
Combat is in real time.. hmm.. might work.. seems a little slow.
VATS... waste of time.. annoying slow motion... *sigh*
Water... heals you?!?  Welcome to Super Mario 64!!!!
Wtf... Crab people??  Another exploding car??
Mylerks??  Sounds like something from D&D.. or something.
Build a mine... out of bottlecaps (money) and a lunchbox... how the hell is that supposed to explode?
Why would we blow up our cash?

Part four:
He certainly seems to be able to take a lot of damage...
WHAT?? Why did they rewrite the powerfist?  I am starting to get the idea that these fools never played the original games... the powerfist delivered an electric charge on contact in the originals... now it is some how pneumatic... how the hell would pneumatics make sense on a glove.... it's just stupid.  At most it might beak tho fools wrist.
The music is starting to sound like it is for dark ages rpg's again...
They have no real understanding of lock picking... assholes.
The computer terminal is goofy and like a dark ages style rpg puzzle... horrible.
Railway rifle.... sounds like a forking train whistle... *sigh*  also it depicts the railspikes falling on the ground, but then shows them clearly stuck into the... supermarket shelving... and a head.
Scoped revolver... stupid... it was hilarious in The Road Warrior, but does that mean it needs to be a main weapon in this game?
God the music sucks...

Part five:
I don't recall the ghouls being called zombies before.
Yay, the stealth boy is back!!!!!
The nade goes off that close and does not hurt him too bad... kind of disappointing... but I suppose the older ones were like that too.
More malarkeyty accent-ish voice and unnatural voice posturing... *sigh*
Looking at the bomb doesn't blind the character...
*well done... blah blah blah* malarkeyty dialogue.

I get the feeling they didn't play the first games more than a few minutes each, they don't understand basic physics and they surely are not aware of the original storyline of the series, much less the function of any of the objects in those first two games.

Also... it would be nice to be able to skip dialogue or at least read it like the other games at my own speed.

Welcome to an other boring and counter intuitive piece of malarkey.... kind of counter intuitive to the fallout series... really.

Sorry if I seem so negative, but Fallout & F2 represent my favorite game franchise and this game looks to destroy it.

For a better game plot, check out the Van Buren wiki stuff, which is actually relevant to the series:

Oblivion with guns!

This is pretty sad, I loved the first two games. I don't like the first person garbage, or real time fighting, it's no longer fallout imo.

On a side note.. I'm so glad the Diablo series will continue being isometric.

Ah yeah.
Yeah, I am not too interested in Dia3, but it looks like it will be a really good game, perspective wise and story wise.

Oblivion was f--ing boring... slow and uninvolved.  I could go to sleep waiting for those tireless npc's to ramble about the weather before telling me anything informational.

Anyway... despite the change in combat, it's the change in story line coupled with pointless extra crap that is keeping me from being sold on f3.  I am not going to pay to sit around longer and hear npc's babble in bad accents about bullmalarkey I don't care about just to figure out if I want to bother with some mission that goes against the original fallout storyline.
