Good find.  Maybe PCRPG can move to the torque engine.....?  TribesNext is free, and no CD key is required anymore.  This can be interesting...

I had T2RPG and I thought it was pretty good.  The map was HUGE and I had fun exploring.  The bots were a lot harder to beat and building a character was actually somewhat challenging.]

I just created a new account, it's damn easy and Vista compatible(you need to run T2 in compatibility mode(XP)).  I also saw a lot of newbies so I'm sure if PCRPG makes the move to T2RPG new people would join our community.

I'll throw up a server in the coming weeks and run both.  If it proves popular, maybe I'll start extending the mod.
As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

That's awesome. I used this new Tribes 2 thing to host a game at a LAN party. It went very well. I'd love to join you guys on the new T2RPG server, but school starts tomorrow. Fuuuuuuuck.

Awesome, here's a list of commands(including admin commands) that I dug up.
A few ones that stood out to me were #ignite(allows you to ignite projectiles) #claim(lets guilds claim land as their own) #cleave #shock #roll and #disrupt.  This T2 conversion mod had good potential but unfortunately TRPG fans didn't make the move to T2RPG.
Also, a few bugs that i found were:  When you equip armor it's not visible on your character; #cast transport doesnt make a sound when casting, and it's hard to transport because there's a certain way your spells have to be typed (#cast transport town won't work you must type the whole name, keldrintown).

That'd be awesome.  I love the Torque engine, and always thought T2RPG had some serious potential.  The developers of the mod saw the death of T2 coming, though, and figured it was best to drop it.

Guess we'll see where it goes.  I always hoped TRPG would come to T2, and last I saw of the current version, it's still fairly broken.

Sure, I can host the files since it's all freeware.  The new server machine still isn't up in Kansas City yet, but the T2 server is coming--I promise.
As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

We have a server on called "Dark realms", you should see it if you have tribesnext installed. IP is 98.215.138.177:28000
May be a bit laggy, but we will have a server PC soon.

FYI:  Remort seems to have never been implemented, I've tried it.  LCK does not seem to work at all, as "Miss" does not protect you and "Death" does not protect your pack, it just disappears.

I downloaded all the stuff today and will start playing with it on my private server.  I'll go to work fixing all of those little things when I become more familiar with it.  I'm still planning on going to Kansas City this month or next and we'll get a public server established at that time.

Any of you more familiar with T2RPG have any suggestions for what to work on?

Armors don't seem to show up on your player model; transport spells need more flexibility; #cast flag seems to get stuck; Needs a 'casting' sound; I've tried joining a guild but it doesnt register my player to a specific guild so the #claim function does not work because you must be a guild member to claim land; also, a lot of the items are WAY expensive and it would take over 100 remorts just to collect the coins for them(hundreds of millions); START ADDING PCRPG flavor to the mod(PCRPG zones; PCRPG items, etc.); Elves use human models so they don't look like elves; fall damage is almost non existent(feels unrealistic)
