As for all the questions concerning why God did this, and why he hasn't done that..
Why should God have to explain his existance and motivation to humans? He's a far higher being than we are, and even if he did explain everything to us, it would be beyond our comprehension. It's like you trying to explain your existance and life goals to a cockaroach or mouse, they can't comprehend.. so what's the use?

You really need to read the books Genesis, and Revalation in the Bible.. the first and last books.

i am not about to open a damn bible, screw that.  if you can't explain what god is and why he does what he does without reading the bible, god doesn't deserve to be recognized.

If you don't believe in creation, then how do you believe we came to exist?  The big bang theory?  That's BS where did that first 'pin' of matter come from?

Think about this, Magus.  In Acquantis's five proofs for God, it states:  Need for a first mover.

Here is how my religion teacher explained it:  Way Way WAAAAY long ago, there was this REALLY REALLY REALLY dense pinprick of matter.  It just sat there in the void.  Then, something gave it a tap.  That is what is supposed to be the first mover, God.

This ball of matter's speed begins to accelerate, until the friction becomes so great that the ball explodes, and the void is filled with:  The Universe.

*sigh* If I keep explaining things to you and giving you direct qoutes from the Bible it won't make a difference, so why waste the time.

It's sad many of my friends are catholic, and they don't know a thing about the bible. I remember one time, one of them thought that Jonah was the one that Built the ark.

STFU Newbie I find that to be a very rude comment.  I was not born Catholic.  I became Catholic at my own will dammit.

Studying the bible should never ever stop with scripture.  There are actually many other, more deep theological writings that go along with the bible and give a pretty good translation besides fundamental approach, Magus.

Agh, let me explain.. I believe in the Big Bang Theory, just with God as the one that started the process, like you said.

I was just trying to point out the fact that if you don't believe in God, then who the hell put that 'pin' of matter there first.

I don't have anything against Catholics, it's just that alot of them (atleast the ones I know) seem to care more about the actual religion and church than they do God. I definately don't agree that you need to confess to a priest to rid you of your sins though, and I find it odd that ya'll have to pray to Mary and others. Can you please explain, correct me if I'm wrong.

lol yes....... speach impediments... often carry over to typing........

damn... that is annoying.... lmao

why does there NEED to be a god? its because weak minded people not stupid.. but weak minded people need something to look forward 2 after death they just can't think of themselves as smart (or dumb depending on how u look at things) animals

i don't like how religous people put themeselves above others

your doing it right now... your making fun of the way i type... i dunno if its because your beliefs are being tested or what.. but every religous person gets a little to high and mighty.. a little too defensive... and the crazyness leads to war.. and i do the dots... because... its mainly out of habit... its not like i would write an essay like this lolz

notice how everyone who is religous took a stab at me? its rather sad..  it makes me want to vomit.. thinking about the hate religon causes

it all comes down to psychology ... and u people... are forked in the head!!!!

the end! booyah

Then how was God created?

And what about the heavens? If they are actually there.. then we should be able to gain access if we get the technology.

I mean all things are composed of matter.. And matter can't be destroyed, or created.

Ok, here goes.  Hope you understand, but it sounds a little farfetched.  Ok, you know that God is the Universal creator and yadda yadda yadda, he is above all else.  Well, we do indeed pray to God, but he is the highest of the high.  And who else is with him?  Why, Mother Mary and saints.  These saints are much closer to God than we can be.  This is why we pray to them.

I know, it does sound a little weird, but I have a little story.

St. Nickolas:  Patron Saint of lost items.
My biology teacher came to my school 16 years ago.  On his first day, he lost his wallet in the school.  As he searched the school, he met up with a priest, who advised that it might help to pray to St. Nickolas to help him remember.  After doing so, he got the inspiration to look back into an area he had already checked, and that is where he found his wallet.

Little weird, but I have some similar experiences.

Heaven and hell are more spiritual than material, Ozzy.  Its all "taps forehead" here.

This is why we are below the diety.  Material is dirty.  Spiritual is clean.
