Test out my map
« on: April 30, 2003 06:35 pm CDT »
Ok, I finally got Tribes installed, and the map that I made is up to date.
What I need you guys to do is Go in the server "Dave's Custom Map".  The admin lvl 4 password is "4", and no the lvl 5 password is not "5"  :)

[edit] Oh yeah, I made an addition to the Den, and to get in Hell, and Ogre's Lair.. you have to find the teleporters, they're in certain dungeons..

And some of you might not be able to connect, I've had past problems with people connecting to my servers, and the server may be down later due to my idiotic siblings..

Heh, honestly the Graveyard is my crappiest zone.. you should see the entrance to hell, you're falling through a mine shaft, then sudenlly the screen turns red and you fall through a hole into hell.  :D

Dammit.. I'm on my downstairs comp.  The server's not up after all.

I'm having major computer problems.. I'll be opening a program and my computer will just instantly restart, it doens't happen all the time, just about every 20 minutes I open some major program, but it's really getting annoying... anyone have any ideas? I'm using XP, and  I just recently installed a stick of DDR ram and it started acting up, so I took it out.. and it's still doing it.

I could say something really funny to reply with that, but since I do have respect for Vorter, I won't say it.

Besides.. I hope you don't have any models crossing eachother.

I don't know.. I think I might have damaged the ram memory slot

Try setting your CAS latencies to a more conservative level (higher) to maybe 3 or so.  Also if that doesn't work put the ram on SPD timings, those are the safest bet so if it doesn't work it could be bad ram.  You didn't get some no-name kind did you?

Gotta love SBC with their 6Mbps tier for 45$
(Yes, on their site it only shows 3Mbps, but it is actually 6Mbps, I would know :)).

Bah, I hope he's a techie like you Jason, err, pro-sumer.

Maybe you can just transfer all ur TRPG files/other important files to another comp and see if reformatting will do.  Then just transfer it all back.

Kinda reminds me when I tried ICS with my winME comp (now winxp thank god).  I was using this wierd type of DSL modem, and when I tried ICS, my computer would restart every 10 seconds or so after windows xp booted and everything was loaded.  It did it for about 2 days until it got an error while doing so, buying me some time to disable ICS.

Wait, you were using different types of ram in a different type of memory slot?  Like putting SDram into DDR slot?

(i thought ddr ram was a bit bigger though).

Those are just a couple I took... you have to actually play on the map first before you judge it.

Heh, that map is crazy-go-nuts.  If I hadnt accidentally destroyed tribes when I resized my partition, I would have tried it.  I'll give it a go if I can get to a comp with tribes soon enough.

*edit*
Need more screens!  Want to see other zones!

With my piece-o-crap, I haven't gotten any complaints of lag.. and it hasn't crashed once.

I like the Outlaw's bridge the best.. the newbies can cross it from Keldrin and get to Ethren instead of using the boat, and the bots chasing them from behind gives them a good incentive to run, lol.
