Best way to fight against the stupid 500 itemdata count limit is to enter into the bank, then fly all the way out to the crystal while in the bank. You need bov's inventory or inventory camera turned on. Once you are at the crystal you will still be in the bank and can auto store any gems that you pick up, and sell them in 500 stacks later on. The itemdata count at 500 is hardcoded into tribes, particle can't fix it without some major changes.
