Scores aren't measured in %. Once you get to the end, you're rewarded a score based on how fast you got through the cave.

And the skip isn't a cheat, it's built in to game. It you're going slow enough, you can scrape the wall as opposed to slamming into it.

LMao ,,, i made 1%   the 9% and after like 20 tries i got up to 19 %,, i did better at the ping pong and car races.
