Ok, hash item works now.  When you connect the end of hash and the beginning of item it spells something the filter doesn't like, so please take out the dash in my command demonstration.

#hash-item itemname

Just read http://www.tim.xfury.net and the last news post should say something about the new command, what it does, and how it works.
