How would you increase the speed of your connection modem or nic card. What cap are you talking about? I looked at my ethernet card and my modem card but I seen nothing that could of been remove. Guess that's just the newbie in me talking lol

It is a site that lets you get the most out of your connection..

I had allready stated that my cable modem was 6 years old.. As soon as they found out that epople were doign this, they changed modems, and said it was faster, better, and had hacker protection.

You are talking about your ethernet card, and your 56k modem.. You can't do anything with those besides modify your registry.

That's insane.. I wish I had speeds like that. I'm on Earthlink Cable, which runs off the same network as Road Runner.

It's decent.. it's cheaper than RR, but yet it runs off the same network. I did have 56k (AOL)  So everything seems so much faster too me.

The only thing I don't like is, when cable TV is down.. so is my internet, but that's not very often.

It isn't the same network silly.

THere is no way any of us could tell you how fast it is. That is the problem with cable.. It depends on location, and time of day.

If you know for a fact a lot of people around you use that cable isp, then go with DSL. You will have more speed during peak hours.

That's the thing though, Earthlink is new around here.. not too many people have it.

I would love to get DSL, but I'm not willing to pay the extra $10.
