I didn't like the abrupt ending, and when that "architect of the matrix" was talking, I couldn't help but to not pay attention and watch all those stupid monitors in the background.
You were supposed to pay attention to both the monitors and the architect. The monitors were reinforcing the fact that they knew every action that Neo would and could make.
Gah, it's pissing me off.. all these ignorant people are hating on the new Matrix.. they say it was a "dumb" movie.
1. They haven't seen the first movie
2. They're to 'slow' too catch on to the fast paced plot
3. They don't pay attention to minor details
4. They don't understand some of the vocabulary in the dialogue
Now days these idiotic moviegoers expect the plot to be spoon-fed to them. *sigh*
I saw the first Matrix movie again the night before I went to see the second one. I must say, I was more entertained by watching the original Matrix for the 4th time than by watching Matrix: Reloaded in theatres. A true movie watcher and fan of the original Matrix could not say that Matrix Reloaded was a movie worthy of the "Matrix" title. God, some parts were just sooo stupid!! Why did they try to make the Matrix more appealing to the young and immature?? What a failure!!
The sexuality was meant to demonstrate the love between Neo and Trinity. Also, all the ideas were connected really well. You just must not have been able to realize the connection. Also, considering how they made the Matrix: Reloaded, it should be appealing for most everyone. It was better than it's predecessor.
But I have to agree about the annoying dialouge part.. they just had to add in a crazy black guy to ensure some comedic relief. Like when he throws open the door and screams "Where's MY pussy". That definately wasn't nessecary.
And no, I'm not racist I'm just sick of Hollywood sticking in that same stereotypical black guy to give action scenes comedy relief, it just ruins the action and seriousness of the movie.
In the context he used "Where's my pussy" in; he meant "Where's my significant other". What he said was meant to give personality to the character.
It really wasn't very sexual compared to other movies these days....just pretty sexual compared to the original Matrix. Come on, Neo and Trinity were kissing all the time in Matrix: Reloaded. It got kinda annoying after a while.
It was that way, because by them doing that it reinforces the fact that they love each other.
Yeah.. I guess you're right about the kissing. They're just trying to make the movie appeal to everyone with the romance, the breasticles, the comedy, and of course the action.
That's the problem with the media now days, it's all a bunch of genre blending shoogityblab.
I mean, the new music is genre blending.. the new movies are genre blending.. and what pisses me of most is alot of the newer games are genre bleding. If I want a hardcore, action game, I want it to go all the way. I don't want a mediocre game with elements of 'romance' or 'drama' mixed with it, Gah.
[Edit] It's all about selling out to people who think they're getting somthing they want, but it's really just a mix of genres, which in turn makes for a crappy game/movie/song.
A good mixture of genres can make a movie or a game an experience to remember. I'll admit that some people mess it up pretty bad when trying to do it, but Matrix: Reloaded is a great movie because of it's drama, romance, and action.
Also, to learn more about the supporting characters on the Logos (Ghost and Niobe); buy "Enter The Matrix". You can get it for any of the newer consoles or for computer.
