Xbox is a mini PC, and PSX will be a mini TiVo...

*edit*
What they should have done was make the PSX an addon to the PS2, since it does have an expansion bay.  Yes, thats where a HDD goes...

From slashdot...
"Sony has announced a souped-up Playstation 2 in Japan. The machine, named the "PSX", comes with 120GB hard drive and a DVD+/-RW for recording videos and DVR features much like Sony's Cocoon. The machine will be released sometime in 2003, and come with a service that offers multimedia content such as video and music through internet connectivity. If you live in Japan, it will also come with a BS tuner; which is a Japanese Satellite Broadcast tuner. The new machine also boasts a real-time OS, USB 2.0, Memorystick slot, and a connection with Sony's Portable handheld, the "PSP".

Looks like they are trying to dive into the Microsoft type market putting all your media functions into one. Except microsoft didn't do that with the Xbox but I'm thinking they will soon. Anybody see they TechTV: Screen Savers special about hacking your Xbox. That was so cool, I so badly want to try that experiment. Have any of you hack your Xbox yet? If this is a illegal topic let me know. It's not exactly hacking was showed on TechTV so I thought it was OK in the forums. Not sure but let me know.

Well, hacking ur xbox is illegal and it isnt...  It just depends on what you do.
*edit*
I <3 techtv.

I got my xbox mod chip for christmas (i think it was the executor or someting) and I got xbox linux running on it.  Only thing is, i have played with debian for xbox for like an hour.  I have no real use for it lol.  Plus, it takes like 40 boots for it to recognice the CD-RW disk...

Xbox is slowly becoming a media center.  Today, I actually got to play Halo online via the xbox tunnel, and it was so cool.  Barely any lag at all.  Only problem was that I got raped, since I havent played in a long time.  I also played wolfenstein on xbox live.  Very fun singing the skeletor song over the mic and getting banned by 12 year olds.

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

I have the DOA2 demo for Dreamcast  :P
It's always fun to play sometimes, I like how you can kick people into and through the walls.

But, TMNT is oldschool!
