Iceman's ghettofabulous setup on a friggin card table  8)

I have a desk up in my room, which look a whole lot better, but bandwidth bottlenecks are strewn throughout my powerline network, leaving me around 200kb/s down when it reaches across the house to my room.

What? You reinstalled Windows? A little extreme, don't you think?

You probably fried something.  Never know how hot those things really get until acceleration kicks in.

Here's pics of my desk at home, which is less ghetto, cept for the HDD's and other drives strewn throughout the clutter:

Teh Beast!

Sorry for the small image size.  I dont really have this camera installed right.

*edit*
If you look closely at my system, you will notice a small tear in my ATA cable.  Is that bad?  I accidentally closed the case on the cable, causing the tear.

Uhh, that happened like a month ago.  Everything runs fine, I think.  Im just wondering if it would slow transfer speed.

As far as transfer speed, don't worry.  Worry about data corruption.

(That's a small heatsink and fan, btw.)

As a point of history:  Our last server clear was on September 27, 2004.  That is 4963 days ago (13.6 years) as of today.

If you're visiting after a long hiatus and have forgotten your password, try emailing me via the support form at http://www.pcrpg.org.

If your character is from after the 2004 clear but appears to have been deleted or reset, chances are it was caught in one of the inactive account purges over the years.  Backups were made before such events, so try the support form.

I know, and gateway outfitted me with minimal air flow also.  There is a large space in the side for a nice big fan, I might fill that gap someday.

My next case will have front intake and stuff.  Cant wait.

If you look closely, I have three heatsinks sitting on my table, two of them probably bigger than yours.
