What do you guys play & do these days?

What do you guys play and what do you guys do for fun these days?  My motive for posting this is two-fold.

1)  Interest in what we're all doing compared to what we all used to do for fun :) (play this)
2)  See where you guys stand on gaming.  I'd like to put up some servers for things you guys care about a little more.  I like gaming with a group that I can feel like I'm a part of.

As for me, I'm mainly into Supreme Commander and Battlefield Bad Company 2 at the moment.  No MMOs.  Trying to find some time to play more Witcher.  That's a good RPG if anyone is in need of one.  In my off-time, I try to figure out the meaning of life now that things are so different.  I also work on coming up with ideas for video projects that never seem to materialize.  Last night I worked on a headphone amplifier that I built from scratch.

I played NS (half life mod) for about 3 years, but as of January 31st, this year, I have played almost nothing but League of Legends.

I really miss games that were well made with story lines to follow, even if they were a bit silly at times.  Some times I still fire up Fallout 2 for a week or two and make some insane character.

Real life consists of working at a gas station and slowly dying of hunger.
I should change that.

I've been playing Counter Strike Source and that's it. Gave LOTRO a try but I only lasted a few weeks.

I was a LOTRO player there for a while with a friend, but I have such a hard time getting into MMOs these days now that I can finally afford them.  When I was young they really appealed to me.

How are things different these days, Part?
TBH, I "play" PCRPG more than anything now. Every now and then I'll hop on Steam and play L4D2 with my friends.

I heard BF:BC2 was very buggy. I'd be interested in getting it, but knowing EA, it probably won't get better :P

I'm not sure.  MMOs were my uber-game back when I was like 12, but I never got the chance to play due to having no money at the time.  Perhaps I missed the train because of that.  They strike me as so incredibly boring these days.  Now, a good single player or small scale RPG on the other hand is ok.  I'm just not as much of a gamer as I used to be in general though.  Somewhere around the 45th WW2 shooter or 38th C&C clone I stopped getting much of a thrill out of essentially paying for and playing the same thing I've already played by a different title.

There are some exceptions:  Well-done, story-driven games still give me a real thrill.  Some other oddballs do, too.  I enjoyed Crysis, all of the HL2 games, Portal, TF2, Max Payne series, Company of Heroes, Supreme Commander, Saints' Row 2, and some browser based games as well.

BC2 is an incredible experience in DX11 mode using eyefinity.  You really should experience it.  It has some major multiplayer balance problems, however.  Singleplayer for Modern Warfare 2 was great on eyefinity too.  I actually waited to start playing that game a few weeks while I acquired the extra monitors and Radeon 5850.  :D

I play Bad Company 2 and LoL(League of Legends). LoL is a free game made by some of the people that created Warcraft 3's DotA. i also just quit playing WoW a few months ago. that game can really have a grip on ya.

What about WoW did you find appealing, primarily?  I've tried it but got tired of killing boars by pressing number keys and running Widget X to Guy Y in exchange for Wadget Z.

Speaking of MMO's, Infinity: The Quest for Earth is still going strong. There's a good possibility of an alpha version being released this year for a select number of players.

On the 360: BC2, SF4, Borderlands...
On the DS: Pokemon Soul Silver :D
PC: Tribes. I gave up on playing anything else on the PC.

I:QFE will essentially be a sandbox universe with an overarching storyline. The irony of it all is that, officially, the open beta will end once Earth is found. As for what comes after that, there hasn't been a peep about it, other than that the story is much, much bigger than we originally anticipated. But regardless....realistically-sized sandbox universe.

Most people are joining up with various corporations (clans) which may have the effect of having more of the game focused around Corporation drama (not unlike EVE in that regard). I'm anticipating a lot of the action to take place between corporations and human-run pirate factions.

i be on that paper chase :-D  them golfers are back and they be throwing that money around like it aint a thang

as far as gaming goes all i play is either modernwarfare 2 or gay tony online..  i love that forking missile copter i be forking niggaz up

I've done so much since my PCRPG days which I still concider the pinnacle of my life.  My post-PCRPG life consisted of admining 7's server, Red Faction, Pokémon, Tribes, Earthbound, Metroid, and other games and watching lots of stuff.

Particle, I don't like how things are run in the server which keeps me away.  I'd be pretty reluctant to play any other game you host.
