It doesn't matter anyway..

ATI is ATI.. Their drivers suck to the point where it is useless to buy one.

How could their drivers suck to a point where it is useless to buy one if most of the latest games don't crash and run at the highest resolutions with no FPS problems o_O

That's what I was getting at..

I believe we discussed this before, the human eye only registers x frames per second.  If a video card is doing 200FPS in a game... you could have the biggest problem ever on frames 100-200 every 9th frame, and unless your brain registers one of the frames with a problem, you would never notice.

and at a higher resolution it makes it harder to find all the "small" things that could possibly have faults to them.

I believe thats why I said that it has no FPS problems o_O

You guys must either hate ATI or just like to try and match wits with people..

It's personal preference..  just another AMD vs Intel or PC vs MAC.  I like my card because it runs everything I need flawlessly..  end of story o_o

Last... there is no definite line between nVidia and ATI for winners and losers.... if Ozzy likes nVidia, he likes nVidia, if you like ATI, .....

The overall point is the fact that the new GPU isn't new at all in this case.  The memory sets and the actual chipset for the card is years old....  You can get an older card for $100-$200 and OC it very very very slightly to get that same performance....

No.. the story is VERY different from Intel and AMD.

AMD = More power for a single pice of software (game)

Intel = Better multitasking

Granted the 64s are the first actual single multitasking processor, they lose it between multiple applications. Intel can easily move between applications, but lacks pure power to process games.

If you don't believe me, then look at the hyperthreading technology and the 64bit technology yourself.

EDIT:

There is also a gigantic difference between PC's and MACs.. It has to do with upgrades.

I remember Jason Xero calling nvidia users "Nvidiots" at one point.

He recently told me he might go back to Nvidia, just to see what the new card is like.

Put it this way.. My ti4200 can outperform a 9600 pro that I threw in..

I don't give a malarkey what benchmarks you post.. I have seen the difference first hand.

That's exactly what I freakin said..  jesus o_o  Who cares how new something is..  it performs just as good or better than the nVidia cards in it's generation.  I'm sure the next-gen ATI will perform just the same or better than the 6800 Ultra.

UG, I agree but for the most part, an AMD powered PC can do basically anything that an Intel powered PC can.  I'm not talking about exactly how they are built..  just talking about what happens in the end.  All I'm saying is it is personal preference..  both cards can run the latest games with little to no problems.  PC and Mac run differently, yes, but there are people who prefer one over the other in any situation.

Same with me except Radeon performed better..  again, it's personal preference!  No need for harsh language
